History

Union Bank was established in 1934 by a group of local businessmen who had a deep commitment to the people of Polk County. Through the years, our commitment has grown stronger as the bank has grown and prospered.

Today, we have full-service locations in Mena, Wickes and Hatfield. We employ approximately 60 people and have an annual payroll of $2 million. We are a state-chartered bank and are regulated by Arkansas State Department, Federal Reserve Bank St. Louis and insured by the FDIC.

Our officers, directors, employees and their families actively participate in community activities. Union Bank invests in our neighborhoods, schools, civic organizations and businesses because we all work together to meet the challenges of tomorrow and realize the dreams of today.

Our founders could not imagine banking as it is today, but they gave us the sense of community that allows us to say with pride that we are Union Bank hometown banking at its best!
